Hi I’ve rated this machine a 4star , only because it’s day 1 and with my memory after I’ve done the 250 to 300 mt’s of wood that’s waiting to be processed, I would have forgotten the following.
Arrived in a very well packed plywood box , setting it up was straightforward once you got it off the plywood pallet.
It took most of my time setting up the mobile base that I also purchased at the same time as I wanted it to fit this machine I cut it to suit ( my choice)
The Jointer is so simple to set the cut , I had it set to 1mm on the indicator , spot on ,I did first use a straight edge across both beds when it was on 0 and the fence at 90 degrees
I ran about 4 mt’s of pallet pine far from flat on any edge but not over the top . I cut an edge first just to see how good a cut I was going to get , it was very nice no sanding required there and on only pass !
It took two passes to clean up the first face of the board but again fantastic finish ,same with the over side , great finish 2 passes to get flat 1mm per pass so not too twisted , redid both edges put them to a square ( 4 pieces about 1 mt long ) all great
It was so bloody hot out in my shed I didn’t. Try the thicknesser. But I did do a couple of runs to see how much work and time it took to change from jointer to thicknesser. It’s a joke so simple and fast only thing that takes any time at all is setting the cut size just like any thicknesser
    Conclusion
If it wasn’t so hot out there I’d be down in my comfort zone playing with my new toy 🧸
Ps and it’s quieter than my table saw
